What is the Ridgeline Hydration Backpack?
A hydration pack with a 3 litre bladder built in, made from Oxford fabric. The bladder feeds a hose over your shoulder with a push-lock bite valve, so you can drink without stopping or taking the pack off.
How much water does it hold?
Three litres, which is enough for most full-day walks in mild weather. In heat, plan on refilling.
How do I fill and clean it?
The bladder has a wide opening, so you can fill it easily, add ice cubes and get your hand in to clean it. Rinse it after every use and hang it to dry with the opening propped open, since a sealed damp bladder is how they go mouldy.
Is the bladder safe to drink from?
Yes, it's BPA-free and taste-free, so the water doesn't come out tasting of plastic.
What size is it and what else fits in?
It measures 45 x 25 x 7cm. It's a slim pack built around the bladder, so it takes the essentials: a phone, keys, snacks and a light layer. It isn't a full-size hiking pack.
Is it waterproof?
The fabric handles rain, but don't treat it as fully waterproof. Anything that must stay dry should go in a bag inside.
